Timelapse Photography From The Faroe Islands

Time-lapse photography is a cinematography technique whereby each film frame is captured at a rate much slower than it will be played back. When replayed at normal speed, time appears to be moving faster and thus lapsing. Time-lapse photography can be considered to be the opposite of high speed photography.

He traveled to the Faroe Islands in April 2008 and stayed a couple of months where he took some astonishingly beautiful pictures - mostly emphasising the light playing in the landscape. The photos are taken by Jens-Kjeld Jensen, a Dane who moved to the Faroe Islands in 1970. He has tremendous knowledge about Faroese nature and animal life - especially bird life. His research has had great significance for the preservation of Faroese nature. He also stuffs birds, found and delivered by other people.
